What a SIP connection means
SIP is a protocol for establishing and ending communication sessions. Business telephony uses it to connect compatible systems. If you already have a PBX, first identify its model, version and connection settings. Supporting SIP does not guarantee compatibility of every feature.
What a cloud PBX does
A cloud PBX hosts telephone system functions with a service provider. Alongside a connection, you discuss team rules: who answers, how busy situations are handled and what happens outside working hours. Each scenario must be confirmed before connection.
Where to start in your situation
The choice depends on existing equipment and who will manage telephony.
- You already have a PBX: start with compatibility and connection requirements.
- You have no PBX: describe the employee workflow and discuss a suitable cloud PBX.
- You need CRM integration: separately agree the connection method, events and data display.
What to give the specialist
Prepare the PBX model and version, phones or applications, required cities and an example call flow. Do not publish passwords or access credentials in an open enquiry. Agree a secure way to provide them during connection work.
